DFG Research Project: Migration and Transcultural Memory
The Frankfurt Memory Studies Platform is pleased to present the launch of the DFG research project “Migration and Transcultural Memory: Literature, Film and the ‘Social Life’ of Memory Media”, focusing on the intersections of media, transculturality, and memory. The project revolves around the question of how experiences of migration are represented in today’s literature and cinema, circulated across geographic and cultural borders, and potentially become the focus of a mediated transcultural memory practice.
Participants are Prof. Dr. Astrid Erll, Erin Högerle and Jarula Wegner.
