Erin Högerle is a film and media scholar and television producer. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the Institute of English and American Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt and an M.A. in Theater, Film and Media Studies and English Studies. Erin’s doctoral thesis on frames, locations, and performances of memory in Asian American film festivals was supervised by Prof. Dr. Astrid Erll and Prof. Dr. Vinzenz Hediger. Since 2018, Erin has been working as a producer for Hessischer Rundfunk, developing and producing feature-length fiction films for television and serving as commissioning editor for debut films and theatrical releases. Her research interests include film festival studies, cultural memory studies, transnational and migrant cinemas, and genre theory.
