We will kick off this semester with a Memory Studies Workshop hosted by Dagmar Brunow (Linnaeus University Sweden) in cooperation with the Studiengalerie. This workshop is titled “Mining the archive of migration: John Akomfrah’s audiovisual memory work” and will feature an introduction by Antje Krause-Wahl; “Displaying Sings of Empire”. Akomfrah’s “Signs of Empire” will be screened at the Studiengalerie on this day (10-2 pm).
