Johanna Vollmeyer

Johanna Vollmeyer is a research associate at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her publications deal largely with memory and its relation to trauma, power and violence, as well as constructions of identity and alterity in contemporary German (and Spanish) literature. Currently she is investigating new conceptualisations of time and memory in the postdigital era. Her PhD was awarded with the Premio Extraordinario (Award for extraordinary achievements) of the Universidad Complutense. She is a member of the Memory Studies Association´s Advisory Board. During her dissertation she was a member of the PhD-network “(Con-)figurations of intercultural knowledge” established by the Universidad Complutense and the Humboldt-Universtität zu Berlin.
