Originally from Denmark, I am a doctoral student in the Department of Communication and Journalism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a member of The Barbara and Morton Mandel Doctoral Program, which supports excellent interdisciplinary research between the humanities and social sciences. My research investigates how stereotypes rooted in collective memory shape journalistic portrayals of foreign nations, influencing both current perceptions and future projections. I explore how these entrenched cultural beliefs, drawn from historical narratives, shape media representations and adapt to evolving contexts. By integrating insights from communication and social psychology with collective memory studies, I hope to offer fresh insights into how stereotypes drive public perception and the dynamic relationship between memory, media, and intergroup relations.
