Maria Elisabeth Dorr is Ph.D. Candidate (Anglophone Literatures and Cultures) at Goethe University Frankfurt. She holds a BA in Political Science from RWTH Aachen University and completed her MA in Literary and Media Studies at Wuppertal University in September 2011 with a thesis on memory media devised to travel to (socially, culturally, geographically) distant contexts. Her research interests include theories of representation, concepts of transculturality, cognitive and contextualist narratologies, as well as popular culture and authenticity.
