Konstantina Tsoleridou is a Ph.D. candidate in Anglophone Literatures, Cultures, and Media at Goethe University Frankfurt as well as a doctoral scholarship recipient of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. She holds a Master of Arts in Anglophone Literatures, Cultures, and Media from Goethe University Frankfurt and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Language, Linguistics, and Literature from the University of Sheffield.
Her doctoral research, supervised by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Astrid Erll, is titled “Travelling Memories of the Asia Minor Catastrophe in Anglophone Literatures.” The project investigates how the collective memory of the Asia Minor Catastrophe is circulated, reimagined, and transformed in Anglophone diasporic postgenerational writing. It pays particular attention to the reception and cultural impact of these literary representations within Anglophone contexts, examining how such works shape collective memory, encourage cross-cultural dialogue, and inspire diasporic reflection and identity formation. By tracing the dynamic intersections of literature, history, and cultural memory, the study seeks to offer a meaningful contribution to the growing body of scholarship on the Asia Minor Catastrophe and its afterlives in global memory culture.
Her research interests include Anglophone literatures, cultural memory studies, genocide studies, diaspora studies, and trauma studies.
